The Sunday 2nd XI retained the Ernie Wool Trophy after defeating Wisbech
3rd XI by seven wickets at Chatteris thanks to an inspired piece of bowling by young fast medium bowler Josh Jackman and the batting of their front three, skipper Stephen Wallis, fellow opener Jake Beart and in the in-form David Haslegrave.

Crucial to their victory was the performance of Jackman, whose bowling spell of 8-2-12-4 pegged back Wisbech, who had earlier scored 41-0 in their opening seven overs.

Jackman was supported by Jacob Gray and David Haslegrave, who took two wickets each and some excellent fielding, which included two running catches by Toby Nulty. 

In reply March started steadily with skipper Wallis hitting six boundaries in his 58 and Beart five boundaries in his 25, as they compiled 48 for the first wicket.

The reliable Haslegrave struck six boundaries, including a 'six' in his 46 and helped the skipper add 82 for the second wicket.
